Employees in Hiatus to Have Fun
By Pilar PIO
A post Valentine Fun Activity is administered by the Office of the Mayor immediately after the Flag Raising Ceremony held today, February 15, 2021 at Bonifacio Covered Court, Pilar, Sorsogon.
A Municipal Memorandum Circular No. 03 S. 2021 dated February 11, 2021 was issued by Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes enjoining all Elected Officials, Employees and Job Order Workers, Uniformed group and other National Government Agencies Personnel to wear LOVE STATUS OUTFITS following:
RED in love, chill lang
BLUE naghost, Iniwan
YELLOW no label
PINK single
GRAY nagpaubaya
BLACK pinaasa, pinapaasa, nagpapaasa
WHITE jowang-jowa na, gusto na mag-asawa
UNIFORM killjoy, care dead
It is also emphasized in the said Memo that Uniformed Group and other National Government Agencies Personnel are encouraged to wear colored facemask base on their relationship status in support of the fun activity.(source; Municipal Memorandum Circular No. 03 S. 2021 dated February 11,2021).
“Two hours of a temporary hiatus, from the day-to-day pressure and the anxiety that the pandemic is causing, will create something fun to make the employees feel a lot better and experience a Valentine’s Day Mania”, the Mayor said. Games and surprises add colors to it with cash prizes sponsored by the municipal officials.
Yes! It’s a breakthrough in the professional life of every employee to allow them to breathe for a little while, to gain positive energy, to laugh and to play.
In one of the readings that came across, it is stated that the nature of breakthrough is for the employees to stand on what they’ve gotten, what they’ve loved, what has been important to them, what has touched them, what has inspired them, what has turned their life on, to stand on the value they’ve already created for themselves and look out at the possibility for being alive that opens up, like a freedom, in front of them.
It was a considerably good start for another week of action, it was a fun-filled moment to cherish, it was an effort of leaders to prove that the well-being of employees is given utmost attention.
As Pilar envisions to be a center of excellence in local governance, the leaders proved that Excellence is not being the best, it is doing their best. ( Ma. Annie L. Perete)
