Pilar adjudged as Top LGU in Bicol Region with Most Improved Environmental Health Services
In line with the celebration of the World Environmental Health Day this year, the municipality of Pilar was recognized as the top performing LGU in the Bicol Region with Most Improved Environmental Health Services on Friday, September 24,2021.
The recognition was given through a virtual conference hosted by the Department of Health (DOH) attended by Hon. Mayor Carolyn "Sweet" C. Sy-Reyes together with the ZOD Team, Ms. Erma Areola, Mr. David Mandrilla, and Ms. Virginia Maceda.
Mayor Sweet with the sanitation inspectors have exerted combined efforts in the implementation of the program and for prioritizing environmental health that led to the improvements in their water supply, sanitation services, food safety, governance and health promotion, and overall hygiene of the community.
The Mayor commended the efforts of the team in ensuring Pilareños health most especially in their vital contribution in promoting the environmental health services.
