Mega Vaccination Day was undertaken by the Local Government Unit of Pilar in collaboration with the Provincial Vaccination Team on November 18,2021 . Three Resbakuna Sites were identified to administer the vaccination simultaneously at Bonifacio Covered Court, Putiao Health Center and Del Rosario Covered Court.

 

The Office of the Mayor headed by Hon. Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes issued an Executive Order No. 61 series of 2021 Declaring November 18,2021 as the "Mega Vaccination Day" in the Municipality of Pilar, Sorsogon and for other related purposes" which strongly adheres to a massive vaccination campaign in response to the ongoing pandemic in the country.

 

Alongside, a Mobile ResBakuna is also conducted in the barangays of San Antonio Sapa, Sta. Fe, Lumbang, Pinagsalog, Leona and Migabod to make vaccination more accessible to the residents.

 

To incentivize, a raffle ticket will be distributed to those who will avail the jabs and get the chance to bring home the prizes at stake. Sacks of rice to the 3 identified sites are made available for the raffle.All first dose vaccinees were likewise given Fifty pesos (P50.00) each.

 

On the other hand, the conduct of massive vaccination drive of LGU Pilar is part of the governments effort to achieve population protection before the year ends. The activity was also made possible through the efforts of the partner NGOs, government agencies, private sectors and volunteers.
