Gov. Boboy Hamor spearheads 2024 7K Program Presentation in Pilar
PILAR, SORSOGON- In pursuit towards giving best services to the Sorsoganon, Governor Edwin “Boboy” Hamor presented the 7K Program for CY 2024 on January 19, 2024 at LGU Gymnasium, Pilar Local and National Government Complex, Calongay, Pilar, Sorsogon.
The Provincial Government of Sorsogon headed by Gov. Boboy Hamor along with Vice-Governor Jun Jun Escudero, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Members, 1st District Representative Cong. Dette Escudero, and the 7K Program & Project Managers visited Pilar to introduce the 7K program, projects, and activities this 2024.
Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes, Vice Mayor Luis Leosala Jr., Sangguniang Bayan Members, 49 Punong Barangays of Pilar, Heads of offices, and several employees of the LGU attended and showed support to the program.
The 7K program of PG-Sorsogon seek to address Sorsogon’s multi-sectoral concerns centered on seven (7) areas, namely: Kalikasan, Kabuhayan, Kagandahan, Katrangkiluhan, Kalinigan, Kadunungan, and Kalusugan with the addition of Kababaihan that aims to support, strengthen, and establish the projects and programs with quality, stability, dignity in every Sorsoganon.
Some of the projects mentioned in the KABUHAYAN program will benefit the tricycle driver’s/operators, barbers, manicurists, handicraft makers, and many more.
Under KADUNUNGAN, programs outlined are, “Gamit Ko, Sagot Mo”, Pan sa Paaralan, Gurong Pang suporta ng Probinsiya (GPP), and Kadunungan Mobile Kitchen.
In KALUSUGAN, cash aid will be provided for birth and burial, rolling clinic and pharmacy, enhancing dental health for all, and other services.
While projects outlined under KATRANGKILUHAN are the Brgy. Public Safety Officer (BPSO) Enhancement Program, EBHIDA Profiling System, Unified ID System, and more. Maintenance of cleaning operation and intensified IEC Campaign in KALINIGAN.
KAGANDAHAN initiatives include tourism signages and billboards, beach intensification, Search for Most Beautiful LGU, and so on.
Moreover, KALIKASAN program includes the operation, maintenance, monitoring and evaluation of plant nurseries, Grow a Tree project, and 1 Million Trees Challenge.
Through this, Gov. Boboy Hamor sought for cooperation to ensure the success of these programs. Gov. Hamor and other provincial officials are embarking on a province-wide tour to outline updated plans for the 7K Program's implementation in 2024. (Pilar PIO)
