Celebrating 2024 Children's Congress in Pilar
PILAR, SORSOGON- In line with the celebration of National Children's Month, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar, led by Municipal Mayor Carolyn "Sweet" C. Sy-Reyes, recently hosted the 2024 Children's Congress at the Pilar Gymnasium, Barangay Calongay, Pilar, Sorsogon.
The congress, organized by the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC), brought together young minds for a day of learning and empowerment. The event featured insightful discussions on important topics such as:
- Child Rights and Child Participation
- Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children
- Child Protection and Laws Protecting Children
- The Importance of Dental Care and Hygiene
As part of the health awareness initiative, all participants received dental kits to encourage proper dental hygiene and promote healthier habits among the youth.
