LGU Pilar receives the Gawad Kalasag Seal for Excellence in the 24th Gawad Kalasag National and Regional Awarding Ceremonies
The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Carolyn "Sweet" C. Sy-Reyes, has been awarded ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ as one of the ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ LGUs in the 24th Gawad KALASAG Seal for Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils and Offices (LDRRMCOs), presented by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
Pilar was honored for exceeding the standards outlined in the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 (Republic Act No. 10121), demonstrating exceptional achievement in the establishment and functionality of LDRRMCOs.
This recognition highlights the municipalityโs strong executive and legislative leadership, and its dedicated efforts in advancing disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) initiatives. It underscores the collaborative efforts of local government agencies, stakeholders, and the resilient citizens of Pilar in building a safer and more prepared municipality.
