OWWA RWOV RELEASES CHECK UNDER SOCIAL BENEFIT PROGRAM TO A SURVIVING SPOUSE FROM PILAR
It was in March 16, 2025, when the human remains of OFW was repatriated to the Philippines thru the joint efforts of Department of Migrant Workers( DMW) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Regional Welfare Office V. The PESO was coordinated by the two agencies as to where and how the information could possibly reach the family. PESO's coordination with barangay Abucay has made it easy to locate the family and be guided accordingly by the Welfare Officers of the two agencies.
After submission of the pertinent documents, today, the 7th of May 2025, the surviving spouse receives the check amounting to Php 120,000.00 which covers Death and Burial Benefits and Bereavement assistance from OWWA. Mr. Cliff Levin E. Base, OWWA FWO and PESO Manager, Ma. Annie L. Perete were present during its release. (Pilar PIO)
