LGU-Pilar holds Blessing and Inauguration Ceremonies of the newly constructed Senior Citizen Center
PILAR, SORSOGON- The Local Government Unit of Pilar holds Blessing and Inauguration Ceremonies of the newly constructed Senior Citizen Center located at Pilar, Sorsogon Local and National Government Complex on June 19, 2023.
The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jirlie L. Millena of the Society of the Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), followed by the Inauguration Ceremony led by Mayor Carolyn “Sweet” C. Sy-Reyes together with Ms. Anilyn Bon, MSWDO.
Meanwhile, DSWD Field Office V Regional Director Norman S. Laurio graced the event and formally presented the Certificate of Turn-over and Acceptance of the new Senior Citizen Center to LGU-Pilar Municipal Mayor.
The newly-built structure is an addition to the existing facilities at the LGU Complex which is accessible to provide the services to the senior citizens of Pilar. This can be a venue for social enhancement events, trainings, meetings and other activities.
Present during the activity were the Sangguniang Bayan members, DSWD FOV personnel, Mr. Demosthenes L. Reverente, OSCA Head, Asteria L. Lomangaya, FSCAP President, FSCAP Officers, MEO representative and the MSWD-Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) personnel. (Pilar PIO)
