Mayor Sweet announces upcoming SGLG validation and Philippine Independence Day celebration in Pilar, Sorsogon
PILAR, SORSOGON- On 10 June 2024, Pilar Municipal Carolyn “Sweet” C. Sy-Reyes announced that the Local Government Unit of Pilar will undergo Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) regional validation on June 13, 2024.
She reminded the LGU offices during the flag raising ceremony to prepare their Mode of Verifications (MOVs) and other necessary documents needed for the scheduled validation.
The mayor anticipates that LGU Pilar will once again pass the SGLG validation through the concerted efforts done by the officials, department heads and personnel of the LGU Pilar.
“Hopefully, we pass this SGLG once again para po mailing ta talaga na we are doing our best and at the same time our duties and responsibilities na naka align sa duties ta as government official and employees”, Mayor Sweet uttered. [Hopefully, we pass the SGLG once again so that we can see that we are doing our best while also aligning our duties and responsibilities in our work as government officials and employees.] She also ensures that customers are satisfied with the services provided by each office.
Meanwhile, Mayor Sweet also announced the upcoming celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence Day on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. According to her, a short program was prepared and this will take place at Pilar Sorsogon and National Government Complex, Calongay, Pilar, Sorsogon. The significant event will be participated by the LGU officials, Department Heads and Head of Offices, uniformed personnel and line agencies. Thus, the yearly celebration marks the nation’s independence which symbolizes courage, resilience, and unity of the Filipino people. (Pilar PIO)
