
PILAR TRAINING CENTER and SNAS COLLAB PROJECT TAP PWDs of PILAR
PILAR, SORSOGON. LGU-Pilar's TRAINING CENTER collaborates with Sorsogon National Agricultural School (SNAS) in its empowerment endeavors to mainstream the Persons With Disability (PWD) sector into its workforce developmental efforts. The groundworks are lodged to the Offices of Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC), and Persons with Disability Affairs and Gender and Development (GAD). Training on Pastry Making which will run for 3 days started on May 7 to end on May 9, 2025 with hopes that the PWDs and their family could use the skills learned from the training as tool to effect additional income for them. It is also the intention of the training to identify this sector as significant part of all the initiatives of the government for inclusive growth.
The trainees were provided with necessary PPE charged against the GAD funds, honorarium of the the TESDA Trainer from Pilar Training Center funds and supplies, materials and equipment from SNAS.
This collaborative undertaking is a convergence of agencies and offices in the furtherance or our commitment to champion the welfare of the vulnerable and marginalized sector of the community.
