Sorsogon Provincial Task Force visits Pilar for a massive information drive against COVID-19 on May 20,2021, 1:00 PM at Bonifacio Covered Court, Pilar,Sorsogon with the audience coming from the 49 barangays, from the academe, uniformed men of PilarMPS and Municipal Officials.

        This initiative of the Provincial Government aims to protect the public against COVID-19. Governor Chiz Escudero created the COVID Task Force thru an Executive Order with the ultimate goal of disseminating information to protect the public against possible transmission of COVID-19 virus in the province of Sorsogon. It was believed in the appeal of Sen. Lacson that prevention and cure is way better than become too engrossed with updates given to the public of the confirmed positive cases almost everyday. The effort of the Task Force is alligned to what this perception is all about.

         The Provincial COVID Task Force, headed by its Chairman Hon. Mayor Edwin "Boboy" Hamor, urge the public to seriously follow health protocols as one way of prevention. The team took all the effort to raise awareness of Sorsoganons to be evasive in mass gatherings and stay home instead.

        On the other hand, the message of Pilar Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes was focused on her appeal that Pilareños should be united as one in fighting the spread of virus in this most trying times. With the help of the members of Sangguniang Bayan, Barangay Captains and SK Chairmen, Mayor Sweet believes that Pilar can achieve the goal of fighting COVID-19.

       The Provincial COVID Task Force also encouraged everyone to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to save lives especially the elderly, the children and those with comorbidities.

The unstoppable efforts of the Task Force is ,undeniably, would end the threats haunting the health and safety of the communities.
