Pilar Hits one of Bicol’s 6 among 209 LGUs nationwide Eligible for Performance-Based Bonus for FY 2020

IATF on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems (Administrative Order No. 25 series 2011) shows the Official List of 209 LGUs in the Philippines Eligible for FY2020 PBB. Furthermore, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Local Government Supervision Memorandum dated May 19, 2021 discloses six (6) LGUs in Bicol Region included in the List of Eligible LGUs and a Letter from DILG Secretary Eduardo M. Año informs Pilar of the Notice of Eligibility to grant the FY 2020 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) and the only LGU in the province of Sorsogon to pass the eligibility criteria in a Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2020-04.
Joint MC No. 2020-04- Guidelines on the grant of PBB of Officials and Employees of LGUs for Fiscal Year 2020 to prescribed the criteria and conditions for the grant of PBB for FY 2020 performance of LG Officials And employees to be validated and given in FY 2021. This should be implemented in close coordination with AO 25 IATF.
Pilar, therefore, has satisfied ALL eligibility criteria as follows;
- Passed Minimum LG Standards
- An AWARDEE of the Seal of Good Local Governance in any assessment Year within CY 2015 to 2019,
- Attained at least medium compliance on the functionality of Local Development Councils as of August 28, 2020,
- Passer of the Good Financial Housekeeping as of August 28, 2020 except LGUs that availed remedies pursuant to DILG Memo dated Feb 16, 2015, particularly on item 2 and 3
B. Set-up most current and updated Citizen’s or Service Charter reflecting the LGUs improved and streamlined /re-engineered system and procedure for all its government services to citizens, businesses and govt agencies pursuant to section 6 of RA No. 11032
C. Performance Rating System to be used for Personnel in the first and Second Levels and those occupying career Executive Service positions of departments/ agencies
D. Sustained Compliance with Audit Findings.
Joining the six (6) Eligible LGUs on FY 2020 PBB in Region V are Legazpi City, Ligao City and Polangui in Albay, Daet, Camarines Norte, Iriga City, Camarines Sur and Pilar, Sorsogon.
Performance-Based Bonus is also offered to improve employee morale, motivation and productivity. When an agency ties bonuses to performance, it can encourage employees to reach their goals which in turn helps the agency reach its goals.
The built -in incentives for employees is to strive for high performance throughout the entire evaluation period.

It could also be attributed to the kind of leadership that takes the direction of how the organization should go and lead to because victories aren’t born on the field. A leader creates them during practice.
