Pilar TUPAD Post-COVID Beneficiaries Receive Wages for 30 day-work

          Three Hundred Forty-Four(344) beneficiaries from DOLE's Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Post-Covid Program receive their wages amounting to 9, 300 each from the Provincial Government of Sorsogon thru the PESO and Provincial Treasurer's Office today ,July 6, 2021 at Bonifacio Covered Court, Pilar, Sorsogon after they completed their 30 day-work from April 3 to May 4 2021.
 
          TUPAD has been in the communities to respond to the plea of displaced and seasonal workers that were adversely affected by the pandemic as an ntervention program providing emergency employment.
 
          Being a DOLE Program, it is considered by many as a big help to augment income for the family.
 
          Their 30 day-work coverage are cleaning and greening and a vegetable garden in each barangay is hoped to be eatablished upon completiom of the required number of days.
 
          To ensure occupational safety and health ,LGU Pilar imposed minimum health and safety protocols to be observed strictly, the use of PPE was utilized to protect the workers.
 
          PIO'PESO facilitated the activity and remain grateful to such laudable program granted by partner agencies.
 
          On the other hand, TUPAD beneficiaries could not contain their happiness to have been included in a program that cause to have food for the table and income to provide their needs.
 
          The program has been implemented by Governor Francis Joseph Escudero in partnership with LGUs since 2019. Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes accomodated the program to benefit the Pilarenios in need of a source of income to continue battling poverty amid the thteats of Covid 19.
