TESDA Training in PILAR this year: A jumpstart held today
 
The partnership of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(TESDA), Sorsogon National Agricultural School (SNAS) and LGU Pilar is alive and continues to offer opportunities for Pilarenios.
 
A Training Induction Program (TIP) is a jumpstart that Skills Training will take another shot in the lives of every training enthusiasts. The TIP is held today, August 2, 2021 in Bonifacio Covered Court to 52 participants in Bread and Pastry Production NC II and Animal Production NCII.
 
The presence of the Mayor, Hon. Carolyn C.Sy-Reyes in the Training Induction Program, fueled the desire of the participants to finish the training and aspire for the NC II Certificate. In her message , she thanked Congresswoman Evelina Escudero of the 1st District of Sorsogon of the FREE Training granted to Pilar under STEP. She acknowledged such intention to the good working partnership of leaders in Sorsogon to better the lives of its people thru opportunities for growth and employment readiness.
 
STEP is a Special Training for Employment Program, a scholarship program of TESDA that provides free training and competency assessment, entrepreneurship session, training allowance, internet allowance, health and personal protective equipment allowance, GSIS Insurance and Tool Kits to each trainee .
 
The rationale of the scholarship program and the benefits attached to it was, comprehensively, discussed by Ms. Jhonalyn Goyena, Scholarship Focal and Mr. Conrado Looez, Jr., CTEC Focal, of TESDA-SNAS.
 
The two training qualifications will formally start on August 9, 2021 in two separate venues using instructional platform required by TESDA under the new normal situation.
An open forum ,where all concerns of the trainees were properly addressed, concluded the TIP.
 
The activity was facilitated by the Office of the Public Information Officer which is also in charge of the coordination of TESDA Training Programs as the designated Community Training and Employment Coordinator ( CTEC).
