70 Scholar-Beneficiaries receive toolkits under TESDA's STEP
 
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority ( TESDA)Sorsogon Provincial Office distributes tool kits to seventy (70) scholar- beneficiaries on August 19,2021 at10:00 AM held at Bonifacio Covered Court Pilar, Sorsogon.
 
The Tool Kits is a part of the intervention assistance to the trainees who completed the free training and assessment provided by the program and was funded by Congresswoman Evelina " Nanay" Escudero of the 1st District of Sorsogon.
 
The Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) of TESDA is a scholarship program that aims to provide free quality technical vocational education and training to deserving beneficiaries to find employment thru the aid of tool kits in the application of the skills learned ,as well as the competence and entreneurship ability acquired from the training.
 
Scholars of Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, Masonry NC I and Dressmaking NC II for the year 2019 and 2020 from barangays Ginablan and Esmerada are the fortunate recipients of the tool kits to start innovating their lives into entrepreneurs to fight poverty and unemployment this trying times.
 
Congresswoman Evelina Escudero, Engr. Gilda G. Ranido, acting Director of TEDSA PO, Mr. Roberto Mendoza, Acting SNAS Vocational School Administrator and SNAS Personnel graced the activity.
 
Hon. Mayor Carolyn “Sweet” C. Sy-Reyes extends her heartfelt gratitude to TESDA, to SNAS as Training Provider and Cong. Nanay Escudero for the partnership that paved the way to improve the lives of Pilarenios through Training Programs and Scholarships.
 
Representatives from the beneficiaries expressed their impression about the program and the benefits that it will give to their desire to improve their condition. Pilar's Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) Ma. Annie L. Perete and PIO Staff facilitated the said activity.( Pilar PIO)
