DOLE and LGU Pilar bring jobs to 23 barangays

With its commitment to help the displaced workers due to Covid-19 pandemic, a partnership of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Senator Leila de Lima and LGU Pilar bring TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) to benefit a hundred workers to earn a living.
 
One hundred (100) workers from the 23 barangays are gathered today,Nov. 3,2021, at Bonifacio Covered Court for the Program Orientation administered by Mr. Nonie Cezar J. Jano, TUPAD Focal of DOLE Provincial Field Office.
 
Hon. Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes graced the activity and delivered a message of hope and encouragement to the beneficiaries to take advantage of every program accessed by the LGU from the national government agencies.
 
The activity,likewise, includes contract signing, distribution of PPE and ID to the beneficiaries and photo opportunity.
Facilitated by the PIO-PESO headed by Ms. Ma. Annie L. Perete, the day has turned out to be an “Action Wednesday” this November.
 
The 10 day- work will commence on November 11. Clean-up Services will be rendered in their respective barangays from Monday to Friday for a minimum wage of 310.00 per day.
