100 TUPAD beneficiaries start 10-day work
 
One-hundred (100) beneficiaries of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) in the municipality of Pilar started their 10-day employment on Thursday,November 11,2021.
 
DOLE-TUPAD program is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.
 
Pilar TUPAD workers will render 4 hours of clean-up drive in their respective barangays from Monday to Friday in order to minimize their exposure to threats of Covid-19.
 
Meanwhile, beneficiaries expressed their sincerest gratitude to DOLE and LGU Pilar for providing them an opportunity to work. Indeed, engaging them to a short-term employment will be a big help to them to augment their income to provide the needs of their families most especially in this trying times.
 
Furthermore, to secure the effectivity of the TUPAD program, PIO-PESO headed by Ms. Annie L. Perete PESO Manager conducts supervision and monitoring throughout the entire duration of the project implementation in Pilar.
