Pilar Municipal Development Council (MDC) as the comprehensive multi-sectoral council manifests its solid stand to strengthen their role in the formulation of development plans and other programs of the municipality. In a Meeting held on November 24,2021 at LGU Complex, Calongay,Pilar,Sorsogon, they have set the agenda as follows;

1. Reclassification of Lot Request (One individual request for reclassification of lot at Mabanate),

2. Re-alignment of 20% Development Fund,

3. Presentation of Breakdown of LGU DTP Allocation,

4. Covid Task Force Resolution No. O5 & 06, series of 2021,

5.National Vaccination Days (Nov. 29,30, and Dec. 1),

6. PhilSys Registration schedule to Barangays,

7. Preparation for KALAHI Phase 2

8. Memorandum Circular No. 15, series of 2021.

 

The meeting was presided by the MDC Chairperson Hon. Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes participated in by all the members, representatives from the national agencies. A sectoral consultation was also made during the meeting.

 

After all the agenda had been tackled, issues had been addressed, solutions had been laid down and discussion had been fruitfully carried out, the Mayor extended her warmest appreciation for all the efforts exerted and the support extended by the team in order to ensure an effective MDC to back-up the initiatives of the LCE despite the threats and risks of Covid-19.

 

Part of the assembly was the awarding of Drug Cleared Barangays and ECCD Accredited Child Development Centers in the municipality of Pilar .

 

There are several Special Bodies playing its distinct role in the furtherance of the Vision, Mission and Goals of LGU-Pilar, all of them are significant part and parcel of the developmental initiatives that has been championing the welfare of the people.

The Municipal Development Council is doing more than what is expected from them.
