A Pilareño writer named Mr. Laurente Madronio Miranda of barangay Abucay, Pilar, Sorsogon was recognized by the SB during the regular flag raising ceremony of LGU employees on January 17,2022 for his 1,220 stanza- poem entitled: “Redentor de Amor” which he finished for 46 years and 11 months. He sent a copy of his works to National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for possible consideration to be granted with a monetary incentive for the publication of his literary works. The NCCA Board of Commissioners approved so. An amount of Two Hundred Thousand (P200,000) Pesos was granted to Mr. Marinda for its publication expenses in a Board Resolution No. 2022-164.

 

The Sangguniang Bayan of Pilar headed by VM Luis C.Leosala, Jr. ,presents a Resolution No. 001-A series of 2022 extending congratulations and recognition to Mr. Miranda in the latter’s significant contribution to Pilar’s heritage, culture and the arts. Likewise, it is an appreciation of an innate talent exemplified by a Pilarenio.

 

In a candid interview with the writer-awardee, he started his dream when he was 11 and never in his wildest dream that he’ll realize a book of poem in his primetime. It maybe a tough time for a tri-media personality like him to take hold of such achievement, but it becomes a testament of a saving nature of love carried on until old age.( Pilar PIO).
