Mayor Sweet administers Oath of the new Punong Barangay of Palanas, Pilar Sorsogon. Hon. Zaldy B. Alcazar, Jr. being the next highest ranking Sangguiang Barangay member automatically succeeded as Punong Barangay. He took his Oath of Office before Hon. Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes on February 16, 2022 at the Office of the Municipal Mayor.
PB Alcazar officially assumed office on the stated date as Punong Barangay relative to the untimely demise of the late PB Bethoven P. Barlizo pursuant to Sec.44 (b) of the Local Government Code of 1991.
