Pilar Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes wins polls for third term

 
Incumbent Mayor Carolyn “Sweet” C. Sy-Reyes got re-elected and vowed to continuously serve the Pilareños in her third and last term as Municipal Mayor of Pilar, Sorsogon after winning in the 2022 elections Mayoral race.
 
Sy-Reyes who ran under National People's Coalition (NPC) secured 23,718 votes while her opponents Ave Lobrigo had 8,128 votes, and Andres Marbit with 2,531 votes.
Furthermore, lone candidate for Vice Mayor, Incumbent VM Luis C. Leosala Jr. secured his second term garnering 23,637 votes.
 
Mayor Sweet together with the newly elected and re-elected municipal officials of Pilar who were also under the NPC were officially proclaimed by the Municipal Board of Canvassers led by Ms. Ma. Claire Laceda, Acting Election Officer IV at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall on May 10,2022.
 
It is an overwhelming success to consider after a long time in the history of Pilar achieving 100% winning candidates in one political party.
 
The COMELEC had qualified twenty-three (23) certificates of candidacy to run in the 2022 local and national elections for the 46, 491 registered voters of Pilar this year.
The new set of leaders of Pilar are expected to take their oath on June 2022.
