The LGU-Pilar thru the Office of the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer (OMHRM) conducts Personal Effectiveness Seminar to selected employees on May 12-13, 2022 at Parau Hall C, LGU Complex, Calongay, Pilar, Sorsogon.

 

Ms. Jeresa L. Mediana, MHRMO defines Personal Effectiveness as an interactive and practical workshop that helps every employee to develop their mindset and skillset to improve personal effectiveness at work. Moreso, the conduct of the seminar is LGU way of providing on-site capability building to address the Learning and Development requirement wherein every employee should participate to have at least one training in a year.

 

Dr. Marylendra Penetrante, the learning service provider gave a thorough discussion about the topic to develop and attain one’s goal to personal and professional life. Attitude, Goal, Self-discipline, Resilience and Mental Toughness, and Integrity are the 5 secrets to personal effectiveness.

 

Dr. Penetrante stated that by using personal effectiveness in the workplace, each employee will manage the time well to meet deadlines and to make sure that their work is done on time. It is also a way to enhance interpersonal skills in order to build good working relationships.

 

The speaker also shared the simple practices to be happy in the workplace, the trends in the world of work, workplace attitude as well as the benefits of having positive attitude, and many more.

 

Furthermore, employees go back to their offices with the knowledge gained from the training and a motivation towards fulfilling goals to achieve a successful life.
