235 TUPAD beneficiaries to do Street Cleaning for 10 days


PILAR, SORSOGON- Two hundred thirty-five (235) TUPAD beneficiaries of Pilar, Sorsogon out of two hundred seventy-three (273) qualified recipients will work for 10 days doing street cleaning in their respective barangays.

On June 19, 2023 at 8:00 o’clock in the morning, TUPAD beneficiaries attended TUPAD orientation administered by Ms. Chate B. Argote, TUPAD Program Coordinator of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Sorsogon Provincial Office held at MDRRMO Operations and Evacuation Center, LGU Complex, Calongay Pilar, Sorsogon. The activity was facilitated by LGU-Pilar Public Employment Service Office (PESO) headed by Ms. Annie L. Perete, PESO Manager-PIO.
Fund of which came from Congresswoman Dette Escudero which will benefit thirty-four (34) barangays in total.
 
TUPAD workers were oriented about the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Worker of (TUPAD) program of DOLE with its primary goal of providing emergency employment to the self-employed and underemployed individuals to augment their income. They were also oriented on the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) to ensure their safety in the workplace as well as the preparations of the post documents.
 
The said new batch of workers will start their work today, June 20, 2023 and will end on June 30, 2023. Part of the activity is the contract signing and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and TUPAD IDs of the beneficiaries. (Pilar PIO)
