PILAR CLINCHES NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH SORSOGON PROVINCIAL TRAINING CENTER AND DICT

PILAR, SORSOGON.  A new partnership wrestled between LGU-Pilar thru the Pilar Training Center, TESDA Sorsogon Training Center and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) manifested in the Training Induction Program (TIP) of Basic Computer Literacy and Agro-Entrepreneurship NC II on May 20, 2025 at Pilar Community College, Calongay, Pilar, Sorsogon.

This collaborative undertaking is the result of the Multi-Skills Campaign conducted by Pilar Training Center under the guidance of Pilar Mayor Hon. Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes which aimed at providing an avenue for the Pilareños to choose Training Programs closest to their heart so that acquiring skills and competency would not feel like its a pressure and an obligation rather its something that they have been wanted to have.

Ten Training Programs were crafted by the Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) and PTC Center Manager -designate Ma. Annie L. Perete to be implemented this year. Collaboration with the TVET Provider is the key in the successful realization of the plan.

Training Induction Program (TIP) is a jumpstart of every training. It is:

  • an introductory session for trainees providing an overview of the program, its objectives and expectations,
  • it emphasizes that trainees should follow the rules and regulations and understand their responsibilities and obligations,
  • it motivate trainees to stay committed to complete the training program successfully.
