Pilareños receives financial aid from AKAP Program
PILAR, SORSOGON- The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pilar, Sorsogon, headed by Municipal Mayor Carolyn C. Sy-Reyes, has officially distributed the cash assistance through the Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita (AKAP) Program implemented under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) aimed at providing financial assistance to minimum-wage earners severely impacted by rising inflation.
A total of 608 beneficiaries from the 49 barangays of Pilar, received financial aid of P3,000.00 each.
Municipal Mayor Reyes expressed gratitude to DSWD and Congresswoman Marie Bernadette G. Escudero.
In her message, Municipal Mayor Reyes highlighted the challenges brought about by inflation and the rising cost of living.
“Sa ating mga minamahal na Pilarenos, bigyan po natin ng importansya ang mga biyayang naibigay sa atin. Gamitin po natin sa tama ang ating natanggap na assistance. At isa po itong patunay na ang Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Pilar ay patuloy na gumagawa ng paraan para po mabigyan ng tulong ang mga nangangailangan," she said, emphasizing the importance of using the aid responsibly and the local government's continuous commitment to support its constituents.
