ABOUT THE SERVICE:

The Municipal AGRICULTURIST’S Office organizes groups so that they may have a legal personality and may then transact business with government and private sector.

Agricultural Technologist’s (AT’s) are assigned. They attend to the needs of farmers regarding the agricultural services of the Municipal Government.

 

CLIENT GROUPS: Farmers, Fisherfolk, Women, Youth, Religious group, OSY,etc.

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

The Municipal Agriculturist’s Office (MAO) provides soil analysis services so that farmers can determine the types of agricultural inputs required before planting of any crop. Clients may approach the Agricultural Technologist (AT) assigned.

ACCESSING VETERINARY SERVICES

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

The MAO provides veterinary services to ensure and promote animal health. These services include diagnosis and treatment of prevailing diseases, vitamins administration, iron injection, castration, and deworming.

Vaccination against hemorrhagic septicemia, hog cholera, and rabies is also done to prevent or abate occurrence of such disease.

Clients may bring their livestock/pets directly to the MAO for treatment; or request that services be scheduled for their area.

SECURING LIVESTOCK SHPPING PERMIT, HEALTH AND DEATH CERTIFICATES

 

ABOUT THE SERVICE:

LIVESTOCK Shipping Permits, along with Health Certificates, are required from shippers before cattle, carabao, swine, and other livestock can be transported outside the municipality.

Health Certificates are issued to certify that the animals to be transported live do not have any communicable diseases. These are also required for pet dogs and cats before they can shipped to other areas.

Death Certificates for livestock are needed by crop and livestock insurance companies before they can process claims for indemnity. The MAO issues permits and certificates.

Bring the animal(s) to MAO and request for issuance of the certificate/permit. For livestock especially large cattle, you may request that the certifying officer visit the animal at the shipper’s pooling loading area.

AT requests the owner to bring the animal to the loading area 15 minutes  
Veterinarian inspects the animals and ensures that they do not have any communicable diseases. AT inspects the animal at the loading area 20 minutes  
Veterinarian prepares and approves the certification/permit and attaches the requirements above. The certificate/permit should be presented by the shipper at checkpoints located along the highways leading to the livestock destination. The fishery sector conducts FREE Technical training. These are based on the priority needs and requests of fisherfolk. Fisheries Technician (AT’s) fielded in the coastal barangays of the municipal can answer client queries regarding:

Compulsory Registration of motorized banca with less than 3 gross ton and licensing of fishing gears is required for all fisherfolk operators in the municipality of Pilar as per Municipal Ordinance.
