205 TUPAD beneficiaries receive wages for 10-day street cleaning in the barangays


PILAR, SORSOGON- Two hundred five (205) TUPAD beneficiaries of Pilar, Sorsogon received Php 3,650.00 each after rendering 10-day street cleaning in their respective barangays.

Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa ating Disadvantage/Displaced (TUPAD) workers is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.
The program was funded by the Provincial Government of Sorsogon headed by Gov. Edwin "Boboy" Hamor with a total allocation of Php 748,250.00 that benefited 205 beneficiaries coming from 16 barangays of Pilar.
 
DOLE SPFO TUPAD Provincial Focal Ms. Cristina Mactal and Ms. Krizzia Dogillo led the release of reference numbers to the beneficiaries on September 23,2023 at MDRRMO Evacuation and Operation Center, LGU Complex, Calongay, Pilar, Sorsogon. Meanwhile, recipients claimed their wages through DOLE's accredited money remittance center on the same date.
