In this training, participants were able to develop one’s understanding on the roles of men and women in the society, increase the level of awareness on gender and development, and address gender-related issues in the society particularly in school.

Among the topics discussed are the Sex and Gender, Gender Equality and Equity, Gender Issues and Biases, Practical and Strategic Gender Needs and Gender Mainstreaming.

According to Ms. Llona, students need to undergo training on Gender and Sensitivity as it tries to develop understanding and open-mindedness among peers and to analyze their personal attitudes, behavior, and beliefs, as well as to promote empathy in the perspectives of oneself and the other sex. Thus, the Office of the Gender and Development of the LGU-Pilar is committed to fostering gender equality and inclusive education.
On the other hand, Atty. Delan John Llarena, Municipal Budget Officer/PiCC BOT Member tackled the Republic Act No. 11313 or the "Safe Spaces Act" (Bawal Bastos Law).

He also discussed salient features of Bawal Bastos Law. In this topic, participants were able to know the values and dignity of every person by recognizing the role of women in nation-building, and ensures fundamental equality for both women and men.

The one-day seminar includes lessons, Audio-Visual Presentations, and experience sharing with the goal of improving understanding of the concept of gender, and varying perspectives, and recognizing both genders' equal importance in society.
