LGU Gubat benchmarks Pilar’s best practices


PILAR, SORSOGON- The Local Government Unit of Gubat led by Mayor Ronnel U. Lim together with the Department Heads and Head of Offices conducted a benchmarking activity in the municipality of Pilar on February 7, 2024 to observe and study the exemplary practices of the LGU-Pilar in pursuit towards excellence in good governance.

A productive session was held at the Executive Hall, 2nd flr., Municipal Building, Pilar Local and National Government Complex attended by Pilar Mayor Carolyn “Sweet” C. Sy-Reyes, Vice Mayor Luis Leosala Jr, SB officials, Department Heads and the Head of Offices.
 
The activity commenced with the preliminaries hosted by PESO Manager/PIO Ms. Ma. Annie Perete followed by the presentation of the functionaries of the LGU-Pilar and LGU-Gubat by its respective municipal Mayors.
 
LGU Gubat has chosen the municipality of Pilar to conduct its benchmarking activity not only for the awards that it garnered out for the system and process that it effectively practiced on financial administration and income generation.
 
The benchmarking activity between the LGU Pilar and LGU Gubat is a good avenue towards achieving one’s objectives in delivering quality public service to the Pilareños and Gubatnons through knowledge-sharing.
An Audio-Visual Presentation on the SGLG journey of Pilar was presented featuring its first SGLG award in 2015 up to its current award as a consistent passer.
 
Ms. Edcela L. Gubia, LGOOVI then presented the SGLG Assessment Report of Pilar, Sorsogon for the previous year exhibiting outstanding performance in various areas.
 
Mayor Lim expressed appreciation to Mayor Sweet and the rest of the team for the strong collaboration toward the common objective of providing outstanding governance for their citizens.
 
On the other hand, Mayor Sweet highlighted that effective teamwork is required to attain one's goals to carry through the vision and mission of the organization.
